Precautionary Statements

ACTION TO TAKE FOR SPILLS/LEAKS: Contain spills by diking with dirt, sand or other absorbent material. Rope off area to prevent inadvertent spread of spill. Place leaking containers in overpak containers or transfer material to clearly marked new containers. Upon discovery of leak or spillage, notify proper supervisory personnel and if situation warrants, notify the proper Local or State hazardous waste response units prior to taking any action other than initial emergency response. All materials used to absorb leak or spill should be handled and disposed of in accordance to Local, State and Federal environment laws. Workers performing clean-up duties should be made aware of any potential health hazards and must wear the correct protective clothing and devices needed to perform the duties in a safe proper manner. PRODUCT DISPOSAL: Excess product that cannot be used without violating label instructions must be disposed of in a manner that is in full compliance of Local, State and Federal laws. CONTAINER DISPOSAL: Check with Local and State authorities for proper disposal prior to offering for recycling, incineration or sanitary land fill. Containers sent to local land fills should be triple rinsed, punctured and crushed prior to disposal. HANDLING & STORAGE: Keep away from water. Material will dissolve in the presence of moisture. High humidity will cause product to cake.
